A classic Lapland log cabin holiday

The Cozy Log Cabin is a hidden gem in Lapland, built from dried silver pine.

A stay here is what most people picture when they imagine a log cabin holiday in Lapland: hand-carved silver pine walls, a private sauna, and a hot tub on the terrace looking out over forest and river.

It’s a compact, self-contained base for a Rovaniemi log cabin break close enough to the city and Santa Claus Village for day trips, quiet enough that reindeer are sometimes visible right from the window.

Whether it’s a short winter escape chasing the Northern Lights or a slower-paced summer stay by the river, the cabin is built to be lived in, not just looked at a full kitchen, dining table, and sitting area mean guests can cook for themselves as easily as head into town.

What makes it different

  • One of the more traditional-style stays at Invisible Forest Lodge, built from dried silver pine with hand-carved joins a genuinely Lappish log cabin, not a modern build styled to look like one.
  • Private sauna and private outdoor hot tub included, unlike many log cabin holidays in Finland where these are shared or extra-cost.
  • A short, easy drive from Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village, so it works equally well as a quiet forest base or a launchpad for day trips.
  • Full-floor heating throughout built for genuine Lapland winter breaks, not just a summer cabin.

Good to know

  • The kitchen comes fully equipped, including a dishwasher, coffee machine, and cooking essentials.
  • Cleaning is daily during Winter–Spring and end-of-stay only during Summer–Autumn.
